T H E A R T I S T
Hello! I'm Karen Eicher, a painter based in Goshen, Indiana. My creative journey started at the young age of 5, when I walked into kindergarten art class and became enthralled with all the ways I could express my thoughts and ideas through visual art.
While in college, I started to stretch my creativity beyond the mandatory art classes I had taken in high school. I painted in my free time and became inspired by the seemingly endless styles of painting out there. I experimented with those styles and ultimately became fascinated with acrylic and resin painting. Today, each work I paint showcases both mediums.
I am deeply inspired by the way Mother Nature calms us and ultimately leads us to her peace. I strive to recreate that depth in my paintings so that, together, we can harness that peace in our homes. This kind of creative work is exactly what I want to be doing the rest of my life!
I live with my hot husband and we love to spend our days taking walks in nature, traveling to stunning destinations, hosting family and friends, cooking delicious meals and taking care of our cozy little home!
T H E P R O C E S S
To give you a better idea of how I work as an artist, here are a few helpful insights.
P a i n t i n g s :
Each piece asks for about 2-4 weeks of my time and attention during the creative process. There's the planning, sketching out the scenery, painting a base acrylic design and then resin pouring. I mix earth pigments into the resin and use it on top of the acrylic paint in layers to complete the piece. I put careful thought into the process of my work and allow myself adequate time to perfect my vision. I paint two different sizes of canvases- a 12 inch round canvas and a 36 x 48 inch large rectangular canvas.
C U S T O M S:
Custom orders open up February 1st, 2022.
I accept up to three 12 inch round canvases and two 36 x 48 inch large rectangle canvases per month.
When you inquire about a custom painting, you'll be directed to fill out a brief questionnaire to ensure our visions align for a collaboration. You'll be asked about the following preferences:
size/type of canvas
month/date you'd like to receive your painting
colors of the painting
theme of the painting (mountains/forest, ocean, desert tones/sand dunes)
gold foil
We'll pick out a completion date and your piece will soon be on its way to you!
S H I P P I N G:
All paintings listed in my shop are ready to be shipped out 3-5 business days after purchase, United States only. When you receive your order, please take care in opening it to prevent any scratches. I wrap each piece with bubble wrap to ensure its safety while shipping.
You'll get a little handwritten note describing the meaning and intention I've assigned to the artwork!
